All day, every day, people are watching us. Watching how we act, how we speak, how we interact with others, how we work, how we play. No matter what we do others are watching. No I’m not talking about the gov’t spying on us or some conspiracy theory of some sort. No I’m talking about everyday people we interact with. Our families (especially our children), our coworkers, our friends, strangers we meet, and simple passerby that we are completely unaware of…..all of these people we interact with in some fashion every day.
They watch what we do, even if they are unaware, they are forming opinions about us, about our beliefs, about life based on how they see us.
We try to live in such a way that no one will be hindered from finding the Lord by the way we act, and so no one can find fault with our ministry. -1 Corinthians 6:3
This is a tough road to travel at times. Because of just one unkind word or an inappropriate action, people who may be seeking answers in their lives could be turned away from Christ, because they see us, a Christian, act in a way that is hypocritical or in some way not very Christlike.
Your actions can carry a lot of meaning behind them, intended or not. Do not be careless or undisciplined in your actions as they could be made an excuse for someone to reject Christ. It’s a heavy burden and we will falter. Luckily we can ask for forgiveness and pray that the damage done is not too great.
“And they will know you are my disciples if you love one another.” Amen, Jason.

An excellent reminder! As they say, “Christians are the only Bible some people ever read.”
